Graag attenderen wij u op het IPPNW-ICAN Webinar: Nuclear Deterrence and the Eurobomb: the Disarmament Community’s Response op Donderdag 26 maart van 19:00-20:30 uur, dat tot stand is gekomen op initiatief van onze IPPNW Vice-presidents Europe, Marianne Begemann en Angelika Claußen.

Wat kunnen we samen doen om de uitbreiding van de nucleaire arsenalen in Europa tegen te gaan en het geloof in de mythe van nucleaire afschrikking te verminderen? Kunnen we een verband leggen met het NPT-verdrag en het TPNW-verdrag? Wat zijn onze volgende stappen om een, nucleaire, wapenwedloop te voorkomen?

In reaction to President Trump’s intention to diminish the US contribution to European defence, many discussions have taken place and proposals put forth in different countries to increase nuclear deterrence in Europe. In this webinar we examine the different proposed options to increased nuclear presence, independent of the United States, and how different countries are positioning themselves. We also examine how the antinuclear movement has reacted to this changing landscape and what we should do now, working together, as a movement in Europe.
